It's summer and I was born and raised in LA...that means that there's no other place I'd rather be than playing in the sand at a beach. I was lucky enough to spend more than a year in the Caribbean, living by the beach with the waves lulling me to sleep every night. I was even luckier to live in Miami, a few minutes away from South Beach after returning to the states. Now, that I'm in Chicago, I'm really pleasantly surprised by how nice the beaches by Lake Michigan is!
So spend a few minutes daydreaming of a getaway from the work week!

The great lakes are beautiful (I grew up on lake Ontario)... but there's nothing quite like the heave of the ocean. Enjoy the soon-to-be upon us weekend. It's a real pleasure to *meet* your blog!
